Tobacco pot Varinas is a beautiful baluster-shaped Delft blue tobacco pot dating from around 1900 with beautiful decorative painting and the text Varinas.
Like many tobacco pots, this is also a replica of the original dating 1671-1840. It bears the mark of “the three bells” and has a nice craquelure.
Complete with brass lid. The text Varinas comes from the tobacco from the area “Barinas” in Venezuela (1664). On such pots was often the name of the tobacco plantation or the area where the tobacco came from.
A very nice tobacco spot with high decorative value. It measures 18 x 21 cm.
